Brian Mullins Fundraising Cycle
Tuesday, 27 July 2010

On Friday 30th and Saturday 31st July of the this coming August Bank holiday weekend, I along with my sons and some fit supporters are going to cycle from Howth Head to Malin Head in an effort to raise funds for St. Vincent`s Hurling Football & Camogie club. We are undertaking this challenge so that we can promote the clubs attempts to construct a synthetic all weather playing surface and initiate the campaign to provide a state of the art facility which will include a hurling wall at our club grounds in Marino.

We hope to complete this journey of 190 miles (260KM) inside the two days and will be following a route through Slane, Ardee and on to Monaghan the first day. We hope to rest overnight there and progress the following morning through Aughnacloy, Omagh, Strabane through Derry and on to the Inishowen peninsula, finishing in Malin Head on Saturday evening.

This route will take us through Carndonagh where my family spent 9 years from 1991 to 2000, during which time we were involved with the Carndonagh GAA Club.  We hope that the local club will be out in force to support our cycle and hopefully some of their active members will join our cycle for the last lap.

The reason I am writing to you is to request your support for this venture by way of donation. Any contribution you can make will be hugely appreciated and very worthwhile as we endeavour to deliver on this project in the next year.
St. Vincent`s continue to provide year round games and healthy activities for hundreds of under age - 7 to 17 year olds - children as well as similar number of adults and families in the North Dublin area. This new facility which we propose to build will greatly assist us in our mission and quest to continue to do this on behalf of the GAA and the community of Ireland.
Donations can be sent to me care of the Club at St Vincents G.A.A, P.O. Box 1625, Marino Dublin 3.
Cheques should be made out to the St Vincents G.A.A.

Yours sincerely
