Minor D Hurling C`ship Final V`s St. Mark`s at 12.45 on 15/11/2009
Played in O`Toole Park on a lovely afternoon. Mark`s had the better of the first half and led 1-5 to 0-5. In the second half the lads really dug in and clawed back the goal deficit eventually after about 57 minutes. The score after 60 minutes was even 0-11 to 1-8. The referee called for extra time. Two goals in the first period of extra time paved the way for the victory which was well deserved. The final score was St. Vincent`s 2-11; St. Mark`s 1-11. The lads really put in a tremendous effort during the match and during the entire campaign. Noel Doran, Frank Godfrey and Dave Jennings were rightly proud of their charges. Special mention has to be given to the goalkeeper Graeme Giblin, the half back line and Kevin McMahon.

Played in Parnell Park on a lovely morning. Our lads got off to a brilliant start when Adam Baxter latched onto a long range free from Ciaran Harney and scored a goal. Kilmacud began to get into the game as the half progressed and the teams went in at half time even, St. Vincent`s 1-3 and Kilmacud 0-6.
The second half was a nail biting affair for the first 20 minutes. Then two goals and a point within three minutes essentially secured the win for them. Even though Dermot Kinahan scored a goal late on it was too little, too late. The final score was 2-6 for St. Vincent`s and 2-11 for Kilmacud. Thanks to the lads who gave such tremendous effort during the year. Thanks to the mentors Pat, James, Tom, Enda, Gareth and Derek, who were fantastic.
