U12 FOOTBALL - Saturday 24th March Raheny A v St Vincent`s A A really good performance by our lads; after a slow start we got into our stride and notched up some fine scores. Tight defending and accurate shooting meant we played well and won well. This makes it three out of three so far in the league. St Vincent`s B v St Sylvester`s B Another solid performance by the lads against a strong Sylvesters team. We battled well in all areas of the field and took our chances well to win by 7 points. Special mention to Sean O`Brien for an outstanding display.
St Finian`s Swords v St Vincent`s C Pride of place this week goes to our gallant C team (pictured) who battled hard all the way against opposition who had a number of very strong players on show. Despite having our backs to the wall for most of the game we never once let our heads go down, which is no more than we have come to expect from this group of lads. It`s worth mentioning that once this game was over, five of the team went straight to St Anne`s Park and made a strong contribution to the U13B hurlers` league win over Ballyboden.
U12 HURLING - Sunday 25th March St Vincent`s (2 teams) v Naas Naas have been excellent hosts to us over the years for Summer Hurling trips so we were pleased to have them visit the club on Sunday afternoon with two u-12 teams. We played two exciting and well-contested games with high levels of skill and commitment on both sides. Both games were decided by a single score, the Naas folk enjoyed some refreshments in the bar and everyone went home happy.
