League 5 Hurling V`s St. Brigid`s 9/7/2010

This match was played on St. Brigid`s all-weather pitch on a very wet night for hurling.

The match started at 7.45pm. The squad was depleted with a number of the lads going to Oxygen. However the team on the night did the club proud. Our lads took a little time to get used to the fast, greasy ball shooting off the wet all-weather surface, but they persisted and by half time led 0-6 to 0-2.

The full time score was 2-8 to 0-5 in favour of St. Vincent`s. The mentors were delighted with the attitude of the players and this win puts us in line for promotion. It was great to see Mark Harney and Eamonn O`Connor return to the squad after their exploits abroad.
