Hurling League 1 V`s St. Brigids 7/7/10 at 7.45pm
The match was played on PNU1 which was in excellent condition. The night was dry but had a strong breeze blowing across the pitch. We came out of the blocks very well and with only 4 wides in the half were deserving of our lead. The half time score was 2-11 to 1-5 in our favour.
We took our foot of the pedal in the second half, hit 8 wides, and were outscored by St. Brigids. The final score was 2-16 to 1-13 in our favour. This result gives us 4 wins from 8 matches in the league and closer to avoiding a relegation play off. It was a great day for the Connolly family with all three lads playing. The Manager, Shay, was very pleased with the first half performance - much done but more to be achieved.
