Senior B Championship Final V`s St. Brigid`s 7/11/2009
This match was played in O`Toole Park at 2.45 pm. Apart from the goal Brigid`s got in the first minute the teams were very even sharing points at regular intervals. The half time score was St. Brigid`s 1-7 and St. Vincent`s 0-7.
St. Brigid`s came out of the starting blocks in the second half very quickly and tagged on 1-4 to their score within the first ten minutes which effectively ended the game as a contest. This was a bridge too far. However the season has to be put into perspective. It was a huge achievement staying in Senior B. Getting to the final after winning the Intermediate Championship last year was nothing short of amazing - the lads can certainly hold their heads high. Congratulations to all the mentors and players for the huge effort during the year. Best of luck to the lads who still have a few league matches left to play.
