Senior B Championship V`s B/Boden St. St. Enda`s 24/10/2009

This Semi Final was played in O`Toole Park at 4.30 pm on an atrocious afternoon. A strong breeze and driving showers was always going to make the contest into a `game of two halves` affair. Even though the lads played with the strong breeze, they started very slowly conceding a goal within the first minute. They began to play well and even thought they were picking off their points it looked as if a lead of a goal and two points after 22 minutes would not be good enough. However a three goal spree meant that the lads went in at half time leading 4-6 to 1-1.

The conditions meant that the defense would be tested in the second half. They held out. Two 20 metre saves and a two point blank saves from Paddy Clerkin resulted in the lads earning a well deserved victory.

The lads play a strong St. Brigid`s side who easily beat St. Olaf`s in the other Semi Final. Frank and Shambo were very pleased with the performance of all the players. Players and scorers for St. Vincent`s were:
